Hello, I’m Fran the heart + soul behind Freeborboleta!
I have been on this little space for over four years now. Initially, I blogged about anything and everything with no real purpose. However, through my writing + work, I’ve found my passion + mission for this space.
I’m passionate about helping strong women bloggers + entrepreneurs make their online spaces as awesome as they are.
My goal is to make your online presence shine and scream you. I write posts + offer web services to help you achieve that so you can concentrate on what you do best – write awesome blog posts + rock entrepreneurship.
I am a blog + web designer by trade and heart. I started my business shortly after starting my blog with the goal of helping fellow bloggers in making their blogs as awesome as they are.
Since then, this journey has led me to work with over 100 bloggers, entrepreneurs and authors.
I’m here to help you if –
- you’re passionate about what you do
- you want to make your online space your own, but don’t know where to start
- you know that chocolate can fix pretty much anything (success rate of 99.9%).
Born and raised in Santiago, Chile I moved to the U.S. alongside my mom in 2004 in search for our version of the American dream. I started this blog after my husband, Lance, and I moved to Washington state on Army’s orders.
When I was a senior in high school, I began working at the local library – mostly because I already knew more than half of the student staff and I reaaaaally hated my job at the movie theater (free pop-corn can only go so far, friends).
In the meantime, like all peeps my age I was spending inordinate amounts of time on Xanga and MySpace (the good ol’ days). Except unlike all my friends, – instead of trying to decide who’d be on my top friends, I agonized over pixels and hex codes. No premade template would do.
It is during this time of working at a library + playing around on online that I discovered that a) I’m really good with computers + I love working on them and b) I LOVE helping people.
As a young 20-something, I was unsure about what to do when it came to my education. Until one day I was hit with the revelation – I needed to go back to working at a library. So I finished my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at the University of Washington and immediately jumped in into my Master of Science in Library and Information Science.
I’m currently residing in El Paso, TX on Army’s orders, alongside my husband and our two fur babies and our one human baby.
